This was a full repointing job at a property in Eccleston, St Helens — front and back, taking in the path, the rear patio and the garden wall.
The jointing between the flags had worn back and opened up over the years, and growth had got established in the gaps at both the front and the rear. Every joint was raked out and refilled, and the flags were cleaned down afterwards so the finish showed properly.
The rear garden wall was pointed at the same visit. The mortar had worn back from the face of the brick along the top courses, and it was brought back out flush through every course, right up to the coping.
